DID YOU HEAR THE FABULOUS NEWS?

Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition hit it out of the park—with multiple home runs!  The 22nd annual IFFC Spring Kick Off was the best and largest ever.  Over 700 activists from every corner of the state were in attendance to participate in the most exciting spring political event. Period. These Kick Off’s started out drawing 75-100, then attracted 150-200, then 300, to last year 450.  Enthusiasm for this organization, its grassroots work, and the mid-term elections are an all-time high.

Our special guest was Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).  Marsha was well received by the activists who admire her conservative principles, her tenacity, and her willingness to “call out” Judge Jackson on the definition of a woman.  Sen. Blackburn delivered remarks that had the crowd on their feet several times.  State Senator Carrie Koelker moderated a town hall setting with Senators Blackburn and Joni Ernst.

State Republican Party Chairman Jeff Kaufmann energized the crowd and moderated a second town hall with Congresswomen Mariannette Miller Meeks and Ashley Hinson.  Both town halls covered a wide range of timely subjects that are on the minds of Iowans.  This format is a great crowd pleaser.

Special remarks were given by Governor Kim Reynolds, Senator Chuck Grassley, and Secretary of State Paul Pate.   There were several video presentations:  US Senate candidate State Sen. Jim Carlin, 3rd District US House candidates State Sen. Zach Nunn, Gary Leffler, Nicole Hasso, and State Auditor candidate Mary Ann Hanusa.  Many of the candidates had literature tables for activists to pick up information.

We were extremely blessed to have many state legislators and legislative candidates in attendance.  Eric Branstad, Director of Legislative Affairs, and Iowa House Speaker Pro Tempore John Wills highlighted the great work of the current legislative session.  It was a special treat to see 30 plus legislators and candidates on the front stage.

Steve Scheffler, IFFC President thanked the attendees for their generous financial support to continue our critical work in the upcoming election—2.7 million plus contacts!  Cris Christenson, IFFC Treasurer, also thanked attendees for their continued financial support.

A special thanks goes to Master of Ceremonies, Kayne Robinson, for doing a superb job keeping everything moving and on time.  Also, a special thanks to State Rep. Brooke Boden for singing the national anthem, IFFC Vice President Bernie Hayes and Pastor Brad Sherman for the opening and closing prayers.

Thank you to all who attended and participated!

Be watching for some exciting news next week on our 22nd annual Fall Dinner & Rally!
